Resending the opt-in confirmation email to contacts who haven't confirmed their subscription yet

If a contact uses a double opt-in sign-up form to subscribe to your list but doesn't confirm their subscription (by clicking the confirmation link in the "Confirm your subscription" email they are sent), E-goi will keep the contact's status as "Unconfirmed" until they actually click the link.

This usually happens when the contact fails to notice the opt-in email or deletes it by mistake. Fear not, you can easily resend it (only once, though). Follow the steps below:

1) Go to the "Contacts" menu, head to the mailing list containing the contact you want to resend the opt-in email to and hit "Contacts".

2) A page will come up with all contacts in that list. Simply tick the checkbox to the left of the contact (you can also do this for multiple contacts in case you want to resend the email to a handful of them at the same time) and hit "Actions" in the lower left corner of the page.

3) A window will come up with a list of actions you can perform. Click "Resend opt-in confirmation" and confirm it. Done! If the status of the contacts you've selected in the list is "Unconfirmed", E-goi will send them the opt-in confirmation again.

 

Resending the opt-in confirmation email to all contacts with "Unconfirmed" status


1) Go to the "Contacts" menu, head to the mailing list you want to resend the opt-in email to and hit "Contacts".


2) A page will come up with all contacts in that list. Hit "Actions for the whole list" in the lower left corner of the page and click "Resend opt-in confirmation". E-goi will send the opt-in confirmation again to all contacts in the list whose status is "Unconfirmed".

 

Resending the opt-in confirmation email to all contacts with "Unconfirmed" status in a specific segment


1) Go to the "Contacts" menu, head to the mailing list you want to resend the opt-in email to and hit "Contacts".

2) Create or load your segment. Then hit "Actions for this segment" in the lower left corner of the page and click "Resend opt-in confirmation". E-goi will send the opt-in confirmation again to all contacts in the segment whose status is "Unconfirmed".



That's all there is to it. Keep in mind that you can only have E-goi resend the confirmation email once using the above methods though. This is to prevent abuse and protect your sending reputation!
