Sending transactional messages with E-goi's Slingshot

If you're interested in leveraging E-goi's deliverability across your own e-commerce messages, we make it a breeze with Slingshot! It allows your developers to connect your shop's mailing system (eg. PHPMailer) to our servers and send lightning-fast one-on-one order confirmations, password resets or "Your item will be delivered today" SMS notifications - all with no burden on your infrastructure!

To enable Slingshot in your E-goi account:

1) Click the "Apps" menu to be taken to the integrations page.

2) Hit the red button right next to "Slingshot" to activate it. Keep in mind enabling and using Slingshot requires that you have topped up your account with at least 30 € (or the equivalent in your local currency).

Done! Once Slingshot is enabled and ready to go, just ask your site's developers to have a gander at Slingshot's documentation so they can connect to E-goi's SMTP or API and start sending messages.

How flexible can my developers be while connecting to Slingshot?

A whole lot! Given that Slingshot simply acts as your message's turbocharged engine, everything around it can be built to your liking. Just be sure to add the senders you'll be using for your messages and let your developers handle the rest (content, attachments, when and whom to send to, etc.). Our docs should get them sorted out in no time.

How much does each transactional email or SMS cost?

Transactional is always pay-as-you-go. Check out our per-message pricing (see "Transactional email").

Do I get reports for my transactional sends?

You bet! Find them under "Transactional" in your E-goi account's "Reports" menu.

How do I set up an E-goi CNAME for my transactional emails?

A CNAME record is key to increase your email deliverability. Head over to your "Reports" menu, choose "Transactional", hit the "CNAME" tab and then click "Create CNAME". Enter the CNAME you'd like to use (eg. transactional.example.com), click "Add CNAME" and set it up using the info we provide.

I haven't got a clue about how to add this CNAME thingie. Please help!

Don't worry, we can set it up for you :) Just message us using the "Help" menu and we'll take it from there.
