Using the E-goi dashboard

In this article

The E-goi dashboard is your go-to stop for an all-round view on your marketing strategy.

What is the dashboard?

It shows up right after you log into your E-goi account, providing a breakdown of your latest results.

You can customise it with a number of widgets to check your key metrics and trends at a glance.

Example: If you're doing engagement-based email runs, maybe have your dashboard show your campaign calendar, your engagement on the latest  sends and your deliverability reputation.
The dashboard helps you quickly spot trends in your results in easy-to-digest format - perfect for presentations and meetings.

Dashboard versus reports

While the dashboard can pull data from your campaign and contact list reports, it's essentially a way to monitor what’s happening (trends, spikes, drops and KPIs).

To dig deeper (eg. specific campaigns, sending history, data exports), E-goi's advanced reports are your best bet.

How widgets work

Widgets are data blocks on your dashboard. You can:

  • Move them anywhere on the dashboard (via the dashboard’s Manage widgets button)
  • Choose which metrics to display (via the widget’s Edit button)
  • Select the time range (via the widget’s Show filter button)
  • Select which contact lists, campaign groups or users are included (via the widget’s Show filter button, depending on the data the widget pulls)

Requirements to use the dashboard

Costs

The dashboard is available on any E-goi account.

There are no costs for using it, but sending campaigns monitored by the dashboard (eg. email, SMS) will have their own associated costs, which depend on your E-goi plan.

Before you start

Right after creating an E-goi account, you'll see our First Steps dashboard, which includes multiple resources and marketing ideas to help you hit the ground running.

Step by step

Creating a dashboard

1) Log in to E-goi (if you are already in E-goi, click the E-goi icon in the upper left corner) to see the dashboard.

2) On the dashboard (which should be named First Steps), hit the "+" button at the top of the dashboard.

3) Give your dashboard a name and choose whether to create it From scratch or based on one of our templates. Once you've made your choice, click Create.

If you'd like the dashboard you're creating to be shown by default, tick the option Show this dashboard when logging into E-goi.

4) If you chose a template, it comes complete with a set of ready-made widgets, Simply click Save. If you chose to create from scratch, click Add widget and choose the widget you want to place and which data to display. Do the same for any other widgets you want to add and click Save.

5) To change a widget's position in the dashboard, click the cross-shaped symbol of the widget you'd like to move and drag it to where you want it.

6) When you're done, click Save and exit.

Using the Results and Sales widget

If you've got an online store, the Results and Sales widget should be your one-stop shop for data analysis, as it drills down into what makes or breaks your campaign success.

Important! To make the most of this widget, you should have E-goi's Track&Engage enabled across your site or online store.

If Track&Engage is not enabled, the funnel will not show your visits, purchase intents and sales. It'll still display reach, sign-ups, and interested contacts though.

Available metrics

  • Reach: based on the number of people who visit the sign-up forms you created in E-goi and who interacted with your emails.
  • Sign-ups: all the people who signed up for your contact lists in E-goi (via form, API or manually added).
  • Interested contacts: people who most often open and click through your emails.
  • Site visits: all contacts who clicked through your site from a message you sent them via E-goi (eg. a product link in an email). This will only be show with Track&Engage enabled.
  • Purchase intents: people who clicked through your site from a message you sent them via E-goi and added a product to their cart but didn't buy it. This will only be show with Track&Engage enabled.
  • Sales made: number of sales resulting from the messages you sent via E-goi. This will only be show with Track&Engage enabled.
  • Sales value: total earnings from those sales. This will only be show with Track&Engage enabled.

Using the Results Attribution widget

This allows you to monitor and drill down on both the multiple income sources (ie. attribution) of your online store and the actual revenue generated  by E-goi campaigns.

Important! To use this widget, you need Track&Engage installed on your online store.

Available metrics

  • Store performance: Sales generated by your store.
  • Marketing performance: Sales generated by everything marketing-related (eg. campaigns) you did in E-goi.
  • Performance by channel: Revenue split by marketing channels (email, SMS, etc.) so you can easily tell what leveraged your results the most.

Data can be grouped by campaign or by time range. This widget was designed to give you a snapshot of the actual impact of your campaigns so you can streamline and invest on the channels bringing in the highest return.

The Sales attribution widget is a good match for the funnel-based Results and Sales widget, as it adds detail and context to the funnel.
